Reports are Megyn Kelly will get the 9 a.m. hour and Tamron Hall might leave NBC when her contract is up:

If that is true, NBC's ratings for the 9 a.m. hour will pop.

I hope they find another assignment for Tamron. I really enjoy watching her.

White somewhat Conservative news anchor vs a Black Liberal in the present political mood , Big Money for Kelly,who gets the edge? Tough getting run out of town. Kathy Lee and Hoda the seniors go next? Tamron a little too smart assed.

Megyn lost her conservative label a while bas as witnessed by that time slot on FOX now has a larger demographic audience than before and Tamron has long been tagged as an antagonist on Today so maybe this is a smart if not desirable move. Watch your back Savannah.

I hope they don't touch the Hoda/Kathy Lee 10am hour. That's always fun seeing 2 middle aged women get drunk on wine and show good leggage lol

According to the reports I've seen, if NBC would have put Megan at 10 a.m., they would have moved Hoda and KLG to 9 a.m.
The Tamron-Roker hour always was the target

You could read the mix of emotions on Tamron's face in what turned out to be
her last day on Tuesday ---

They basically dropped the bombshell on everyone literally right before they
began the 3rd hour back on last Friday. Not quietly later in the day away from the studio,
but right there -- minutes before going on live. Pure class.

But then, it's the Today Show -- it's basically how they (mis)handle everything there...why should this be different?

Don't blame Tamron much for bolting the minute her contract was up, not
giving the network any chance to drum up some quickie goodbye sendoff to make them look better.

What's kind of going unnoticed also --
How Dylan Dreyer's going to fit into the picture once she's back from maternity leave.
There's going to be a third hour just up through the summer, before Megyn hits the air.
From that point on, unless they shoehorn Dylan into the regular 2 hours, how much
of her will we see outside of Al's vacation time off?
Kind of get the feeling she's probably already getting things in order, hopefully, since
apparently no one's really safe right now.

I'm sure Tamron didn't want to be subjected to the final fair well fiasco that was put on for Ann Curry which was agonizingly painful to watch......

You would've thought NBC learned its lesson from the Ann Curry fiasco. Why would they tell her before the show starts? Who knows how she would have reacted? Amazing how corporations don't learn their lesson.

there's really no good way to do something like this.
let's say they had waited till later in the day and then it got out some other way.
then it would've been "How could they not tell her?!?"

That's the risk you take- better for that to happen and the media make the noise than to have the victim raise a spectacle on national TV, creating a video clip that will be played over and over again.

It's possible that they thought she'd play the good soldier and simply accept the new contract, but if that's the case, they certainly misread the situation badly again.

Wish they would get rid of Hoda/Kathy instead - beyond irritating.

I would have LOVED to see that video, especially in the current news babe climate.

Then again, said video would have essentially ended any national TV career for her.
