Interesting. What's going to happen to SportsCenter AM, SportsCenter at Night, SC6, SportsCenter Coast to Coast, and SCSVP? Should Jemele Hill get the axe?

I'm surprise they're firing even more people though the timing will be slightly better (whose cover MLB for sure). I'm still pissed they fired Jaymee, Jade, and Sarah.

To answer the question by infamous04, the article also mentioned once Mike Greenberg's new morning show begins on ESPN:

The current SportsCenter AM will slide over to ESPN2, while the simulcast of the "Wingo and Golic Show" will be on ESPNU.

As for some other editions of SportsCenter, the "6" and Scott Van Pelt's midnight show are fine. Hopefully, at least a handful of the weekday editions will remain and at least a morning and late night show on the weekends should continue--especially since there is that other studio in Los Angeles.

Any guesses who could be next? I know Lindsay Czarniak left in the end of August. I wouldn't be surprise if Jemele was gone, plus I'm sure they could get Elle Duncan to fill in for Jemele. Is SC6 in Bristol or LA?

My guess is that Lisa Kerney and Nicole Briscoe likely to be safe from layoffs once again. As newsguy said, I would be surprised if Jemele Hill and/or Michael Smith not to mention their show SC6 get the boot soon.

It is one thing about Jemele and her Twitter rants, that has been well documented. I hope that Linda Cohn isn't the next to go, but if she is part of that list--she made it no secret a while back that she wants to either own or broadcast an NHL team.

OWN a team?
:jetserl
That takes a few hundred million at least, which I’m sure she doesn’t have.

But it is true, she might be interested in owning a team or a bigger pipe dream--to eventually take over for Gary Bettmann when his time ends as NHL Commissioner.

Or be on NHL Network which is in New York.

According to this article

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/ear ... 8e26147bc7

that the cuts will affect Sportscenter, so I'm guessing that either Lisa or Nicole go, Jemele (50-50 on Michael Smith depending if ESPN wants to keep around SC 6) is screwed, all of the SC AM people screwed.

What will happen to SportsCenter before, during, and after the layoffs? Will Lisa Kerney, Nicole Briscoe, Elle Duncan, Linda Cohn, Rachel Nichols, Wendi Nix, Dianna Russini, Molly McGrath, Julie Stewart-Binks, Hannah Storm, Olivia Harlan, Molly Qerim, Jen Lada, Samantha Ponder, Laura Rutledge, Antonietta Collins, and Cari Champion be safe? Will Jemele Hill, Sage Steele, and/or Sarah Spain be let go? Will they have new SportsCenter anchors in 2018? All the questions will be hearing soon.

Jonathan Coachman just left so 99 to go. Heather Dinich gets my vote for who should be next.

Didn't know Jonathan left. He just start a show for Periscope. I'm sure Kevin Connors, John Anderson, Jay Harris, John Buccigross, Scott Van Pelt, Neil Everett, and Stan Verrett will likely be safe ahead and during the layoffs.

And by the way, I started a petition few days ago, ESPN want to keep or let go some of my favorite SportsCenter anchors including Lisa Kerney, Nicole Briscoe, Linda Cohn, and Elle Duncan just to name a few. So I'm trying to help you guys to spread the word with me and spread the word to everyone.

They just hired Katie Nolan (worthless) and yet 100 others get to walk the plank? Sad.

She hosted the first SportsCenter on Snapchat.
Three to five minute highlights and interviews will air on that app weekdays at 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern time, and one show each on weekends at 5 a.m. only.

Cassidy Hubbarth and Elle Duncan will also be providing updates:

Elle Duncan seems to me someone who likely gets the axe. she is one of may favorites but I think her run is over in Bristol.
