I've been watching clips of SCTV News from well SCTV and was wondering has there been real News Duos that didn't get along.

I recall when Jerry Springer gave commentaries on NBC5-WMAQ in Chicago in the spring of 1997 when he shared the desk with esteemed anchors Ron Majors and Carol Marin.

The stunt only lasted two days, but it caused quite a firestorm of controversy as true sleaze leaked into honest journalism--and general circumstances (for the most part) have been differing since that sorry period.

Not really news but Michelle Beadle says she hated the co-host on her short-lived NBC Sports show and blamed him for the show’s failure. (Of course)

Dave Briggs notwithstanding, Beadle is a piece of work in her own right

I remember looking at Wikipedia that Bill Kurtis and Phyllis George (aka Pamela Brown's mom) didn't get along in the CBS Morning Show they did in 1985.

Today I learned Pam Brown is the daughter of Phyllis George. I did not know, though I see it now.

Let's face it, it's never smart for a network/station to force pairings on people. Ok maybe there's expections like Mike and the Mad Dog (though it didn't really end well for them though they have done reunions with each other). At least do a practice run or two before actually going on air to see if it works or not because it's a lot of money and if it doesn't work that an expansive mistake. I get it, Briggs and Beadle were NBCSN's top free agents guessing they wanted to put them together but it didn't work. Also didn't work with Briggs in general because he left for CNN though he was there longer than Beadle. Beadle I'll admit I'm surprise ESPN didn't get rid of her, I heard rumors (here I think) that ESPN was talking with NFL Network's Kay Adams to be the new Get Up host. Heck ESPN had Laura Rutledge, Maria Taylor, and Cassidy filled-in, one of them would have been better than Beadle. Also Jerry Springer was actually a news anchor before his show but a news station having them give commentary during his show not a smart idea.

Kay Burley and Frank Partridge on Sky News back in the day. She even gave him a black eye backstage!

I heard Contessa Brewer and Amy Robach didn't get along during their MSNBC days together.

That reminds me, Brewer had the big blowup with Imus when she was (briefly) his news lady

I agree sparty but it was pretty much a one way street. It's amazing how much I picked up because my focus was so, shall we say: "intense" on Kiran while watching them together. She irritated the hell out of him many, many times and it was obvious to probably more folks than me but she never had a bad word to say about him. That's just the way she is built. Kiran is as upbeat as they come but I've come to realize that she may also be oblivious to "negative feedback" shall we say. I guess that's a good trait if you are on TV or in the public eye. I remember one incident besides the more notable ones where they had a fluff piece about flamingos. I can't remember if it was a health thing or what but Kiran remarked right afterwards that she couldn't believe that they could stand with their skinny little legs. With barely a smirk Roberts said: "I've wondered the same thing about you". I lost it. I looked to Kiran for a reaction but their was none. It apparently went right over her head I guess. It never got any future mention but it did happen.
I made a comment to Kiran on twitter about Roberts well after she had left CNN and she actually got upset about it and replied back to me in his defense.

I guess it's better to be oblivious to insult than to be angry. I admire her for it even if I would have trouble ignoring all the crap she took from him.

Imus treated Contessa like total dogsh!t
In these days of the MeToo movement, he'd be cited for sexual harassment
I remember once they were at a remote location, I want to say Fenway Park
They had a Contessa bobblehead
It was strategically placed with her legs straddling the microphone
Amy also did headlines in those days and he treated her much better
When he moved to FBN, Jenna Lee was his news reader for a while
He tried to test Jenna, but she let him know right away she wouldn't put up with his crap
Always loved Jenna for that :Kool
