The morning gig lasted only five months.

Late on Friday afternoon, The Big Lead reported that Michelle Beadle will leave New York and the morning show Get Up and return NBA Countdown with Jaylen Rose, Paul Pierce, and Chauncey Billups to Los Angeles:

https://thebiglead.com/2018/08/24/michelle-beadle-get-up-maria-taylor-mina-kimes/

Also, ESPN announced that after each Wednesday and Friday game, there will be a post-game show called NBA At The Buzzer. Plus, there will be a 15 minute space prior to the game for the announcers to set up the scene. The post-game show only applies to ABC following the last game of the NBA Finals each June.

As for Mike Greenberg, the show will be cut by one hour starting at 8 a.m. A traditional SportsCenter will replace the first hour at 7 a.m., the third such replacement this year following that of bringing back the familiar reporting format during the 6 p.m. and noon slots in recent months.

In separate news, the simulcast of ESPN Radio's Golic and Wingo show will have the first two hours simulcast on ESPN2, then they will shift over to ESPNEWS starting at 8 a.m. Eastern.

There will be one rotating co-host each weekday. As most people have seen already, the likes of Dianna Russini, Laura Rutledge from the SEC Network, Maria Taylor from her college football coverage, along with Mina Kimes and Jen Lada will continue to be seen and heard. Also of note, at least one football analyst will appear each weekday throughout the football season.

Finally, Friday was when a show that Michelle and prior to that Charissa Thompson did an awesome job for many years on SportsNation. That show is no more, being replaced instead by an extra half hour of Rachel Nichols and six-time NBA Champion Scottie Pippen talking all things NBA on The Jump.

Michelle's final day in New York is August 29, and all of the changes will be effective as of Monday, September 3.

At the same time, Michelle lashed out on Thursday complaining why women reporters are not being featured during ESPN's college football coverage:

Even though Get Up is on a downward spiral, expect Laura Rutledge appear on regular basis in addition to her SEC Network and SportsCenter duties.

I posted that same information. Great to see Laura continue on with the co-reporting duties.

By the way, any word on rotation of hosts like Jay Harris, Randy Scott, Nicole Briscoe, Matt Barrie, Laura Rutledge, and more on 7am SC on ESPN, 8am-10 slot on ESPN2? David Lloyd and Cari Champion Coast to Coast show also returns September 3.

No word yet on who might be up for the morning show, since David Lloyd and Cari Champion co-host the noon edition like you said.

I am sure we will have some definitive word sometime before the month is out.

My projections: Randy Scott, Jay Harris, rotation of female hosts like Nicole Briscoe, Dianna Russini, Laura Rutledge, Jen Lada, possibly Molly McGrath for Monday-Thursday morning shows. Matt Barrie, Elle Duncan, Hannah Storm, Laura Rutledge, for weekend morning editions of SportsCenter with Hannah and Laura do Sunday morning SportsCenter before NFL Countdown.

Honestly I think Beadle should have been fired and two ESPN should have made the decided to replace her a month or so ago because some of the ladies that other duties like Maria Taylor I see still doing sideline duties for ESPN. Didn't see Jen Lada or Laura Rutledge there (I thought I saw Laura there at first). Also is Laura still hosting SEC Nation though I'm sure she can still do that? Also doesn't Dianna report live weekly from a NFL city plus her NFL duties? If they did this a month earlier, ESPN could have hired a reporter or two to patrol the college games. Also unrelated, Olivia Harlan will be known as Olivia Dekker. I hate when they do that (at least on-air).

Me either, has anyone failed more than her and still had a career?

Wasn't ESPN trying to hire Kay Adams away from NFL Network?

Guessing that's over because the NFL Network aired a new GMFB promo recently with Kay. Either talks between Kay with her agent(s) and ESPN broke down or the NFL Network made her an offer she couldn't refuse.

That probably was the case with Kay.
But at least in Michelle's case, she has found her true "happy place" minus SportsNation now that it has been canceled (remember that most of her past shows are on YouTube).

Probably not a surprise especially after Beadle and Briggs failed. Which was talked about on another post

viewtopic.php?f=14&t=254189

I don't know why networks force pairings. Not smart of Beadle saying she won't watching football ON A SPORTS SHOW. I don't like Urban Meyer (I'm a Gator fan) and really don't like Ohio State's punishment of Meyer but it's not going to stop me from watching football. Also ironic that Beadle is being replaced by women who cover football.

I see her point, it’s not like NBA people ever get in trouble with the law:

ESPN doesn’t know what it wants to be as a network anymore.
