Over the past few days I've found it curious that my local Fox affiliate, WFXR, has scaled back their morning newscast from 5 hours down to 3. 'Good Day Virginia' used to air from 5am all the way through till 10am. This usually involved rotating the anchors around 8am, but their would always be one meteorologist. WFXR has started running reruns of Friends at 5am. Every other station in the area runs local news from 5-7, with the exception being WDBJ7 which starts theirs at 4:30. I'm just curious if this has been occuring with other Fox stations around the country, something with Nexstar owned stations, or something unforeseen with WFXR.

WFXR's 5 and 6am newscasts return tomorrow. I'd assume that it was a holiday change.
