It's very obvious why the cable channel decided to call it quits:
The cable model is/has been slowly dying. Streaming is the thing. Besides, a great majority of people do their shopping online (although HSN and to a certain effect Jewelry TV have the cable systems covered to a degree.)
Also, you can blame it on Amazon, eBay, the thousands of brick-and-mortar stores that cater to shopping online, and the many online marketplaces. But it is sad for the hosts and the behind-the-scenes people who have lost their jobs . The familiar social media lines of "Can't wait for my next chapter", "I'll tell you more about my new adventure soon" are already too familiar.
