This past Monday, inbetween their usual Morning Run updates ("quick, easy, and entertaining") and the wedding themed podcasts featuring Jennie Garth, both T.J. and Amy had this to share:

They have been living together for the last few weeks, basically since mid-September.

They are training for the Chicago Marathon, of which Amy is on track, but poor T.J. he is struggling a lot. A month behind as a matter of fact. But that won't stop them when they announced they will have a meet-and-greet session in Chicago a few days before the race. Take that as you will, but I find that to be very fascinating. :)

After one year, they summarized their fall from grace with what I expected them to say:
"We were not feeling comfortable being out and about. We were just getting back on social media and a little scared, not a little scared, (but) a lot scared to get back out in the public (eye.)"

They planned on doing podcasts from their two alma maters, Amy at the University of Georgia and T.J. from the University of Arkansas. By the time Halloween rolls around, they will be flying again across the Atlantic--this time to Spain. However, there is no direct flight, so wish them luck getting there, let alone trying to get back to the States.

Stories that I didn't feel comfortable in sharing, but still definitely worth listening to include:
Amy's oldest daughter Ava having quite a major problem in the village where T.J. said it was nice having apartments across from each other. Very convenient if you can get that type of arrangement.

Dining out, but on the side of a road literally had them fearing for their lives. Just you wait until they paint the picture on what really happened.

Sure hope their busy times will be both fun and eventful. Basically, keep up with their Morning Run every weekeday which they usually record by 5 a.m. Eastern time (around the similar time when they would get ready to head to the ABC News studios to prep for that morning's GMA), especially in Amy's case having done it for several years.

Two jam-packed episodes on Friday.

First, they debuted a new sub series called True Crime.
They had as their guest probably one of the most famous prosecutors in U.S. history (at least in terms of general celebrity circles considering the magnitude of the case in 1994 and 1995.)

Since Marcia Clark lost that famed case, she is still practicing criminal law all of these years later. Marcia has written nine crime fiction novels and has one non-fiction book. She is also a journalist, educator, even a TV producer.

Shes also talked about a podcast called Informants Lawyer X, where in the description briefly says, "As they balance volatile relationships with criminals and law enforcement, they must probe for information without raising any red flags...so, why do they do it? For the greater good? For personal gain? The answers are as complicated as the double lives they lead."

You would need a subscription to Wondery+ to access all episodes.

I also decided to mention this since Thursday, October 10 is World Mental Health Day. That verdict took a serious toll on her mental health that very few would have known about, since she was solidly against having cameras in the courtroom. But as the "circus" played on, we all bought into it--every day (and it was great filler programming during the 1994 baseball strike that August and September.)

Another small point is that when Amy lost her job, her time spent on 20/20 with ABC News Tonight anchor David Muir was mostly swept under the rug publicity wise--at least that's most of the media thought at that time, because we all focused on their big time flirtations live on GMA3 (whereas 20/20 I believe is recorded.)

Journalists, similar to prosecutors and defendants--they are storytellers at heart. And all Marcia wants is to seek the truth. However, it is not plain and simple as we all think it could be.
It truly is a fascinating listen if you are into salacious and juicy crime tales:

On to the fun stuff...
After the usual depressing news on their usual "Morning Run", they talked about the fact that they are in Chicago getting ready to run the annual Chicago Marathon early Sunday morning. They mentioned that they will be appearing at the Abbott Health and Fitness Expo inside the famed McCormick Place, mostly to have a meet and greet with fans. (Most of us think of the enormous exhibition hall as the place where the annual Chicago Auto Show takes place every February.)

They will also be doing their first live podcast. Yes, you read that right. It starts Friday at 4 p.m. Central time, and it will be uploaded hopefully during the weekend and into part of this coming week. It might be one episode, or maybe a small series, who knows?

Bottom line, here is the link:

"Amy and T.J. discuss how they ended up in an ambulance instead of crossing the finish line at the Chicago Marathon."

Oh oh. :?

At first read, my mind was thinking that T.J. or Amy either tripped by an edge of a sidewalk leading to the street, or perhaps accidentally bumped into a volunteer handing out water or food to keep their energy up.

Instead, it turned out to be a lot worse regarding T.J. this past Sunday.

Both of them started the morning hoping to find the runner's tent, where they would be assigned their numbers and where their assignments were. For those not into running, it was where the bathrooms (the porta potties lines are usually upwards of an hour ) were, so every runner could eat the proper food and electrolytes to get energy from drinking.

After asking upwards of 20 plus people, they wasted over 30 minutes to finally find a local person--but they couldn't get back in time to meet at the proper corral.

Even worse, they had no water bottles and no food. A total disaster on race day, even though the weather was gorgeous, temperatures around the upper 50's when the race started and a decent breeze.

They managed to finally get some bananas, water, and Gatorade during the first half of the 26.2 mile run throughout many neighborhood streets dotting the north and northwest sides of Chicago, dotted with lots of cool ethnic shops, a few grocery stores, and restaurants.

But around Mile 21, that's when things turned for the worse.

Several outlets picked up the story, which almost sounds like a page ripped out of Chicago Med:

People:
https://people.com/tj-holmes-chicago-marathon-ambulance-amy-robach-8727908

The Independent:
https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/tj-holmes-marathon-injury-amy-robach-b2629097.html

Page Six had their general marathon information, complete with their bib numbers:
https://pagesix.com/2024/10/14/celebrity-news/t-j-holmes-leaves-chicago-marathon-on-stretcher-after-injury/

Sure hope he somehow gets healthy.

Fans of horror movies should listen to this one hour plus podcast.

From one horror show on the streets of Chicago earlier this week to another in the fictional world, a classic movie franchise that brought the world one very scary character is the focus.

"A Nightmare on Elm Street" first hit theaters in 1984, and brought on several sequels in the years that followed.

Amy and T.J. managed to catch up with the actors who played both Freddy Kreuger and Nancy Thompson--Robert Englund and Heather Langenkamp who sat down for an exclusive interview. The podcast notes mentioned how they were, "sharing their greatest memories from filming the franchise and how they grew from the process."

A spooky good time awaits:

From Sunday, here is the story in their own words about how they first became friends while working at ABC News to becoming true lovers.

Right away, the big question was--what is the difference between lust and love?

Ponder that while you hear the podcast:

I thought about posting this particular podcast before the election, but I thought better of it to post it afterwards.

Anyways, they had a thorough analysis about what happened at the New York City Marathon on Sunday morning.

At least, they both crossed the finish line on what was a chilly Sunday morning in NYC:

Have you ever thought of having to live life to the fullest, but like Liam Payne and Doroles O'Riordan, their lives were cut short.
Or live longer, but maybe not to the fullest?

Amy and T.J. talk about this in this half-hour podcast:

Two important podcasts, one from Thursday and the other from Sunday night regarding two important topics:

Do you have any regrets?
It's mostly a therapy session, so don't jump to easy conclusions on why did their little lovey dovey thing on GMA3 in late 2022 (hard to believe it has been that long :? ).

https://open.spotify.com/episode/7guSzA9fW7KFK58pl5kI4C?si=m7hbjYPqRp--Q4K_frdUOw

The other topic, considering how the dating world has changed so much with social media and podcasts taking over where in the old days subscribing to emails and/or hiring a dating coach was the norm in the early Internet era.

Questions asked in this short podcast include: is it okay to show off your chivalry skills in this day and age? It mostly depends on how were you raised and some other weird terms that are not worthy of discussion where we celebrate women the right way.

Still, take it with a grain of salt.

In the immortal words of the late, great game show (and "Love Connection") host Chuck Woolery:
"Back in 2 and 2."

It's that wonderful time of the year.

If you are searching for that perfect gift or for someone who has everything, Amy and T.J. have some suggestions. Check out the link below, and then click on the individual links so you can see the descriptions of each item they were talking about in this 40 minute podcast (minus the lengthy commercials):

https://open.spotify.com/episode/1QyYJaClRgu6OL1Ngd7ZAO?si=b357f2ee74de4343

Also on their Thursday "Morning Run", they mentioned what their top favorite song was in the annual Spotify Wrapped playlist:

Amy had "Selfish" by JT
T.J. had "Push Ups" by Drake

Is your food safe to eat?

Have no fear, because Amy's father Mike is a Food Safety Expert and Microbiologist. He has worked in the food industry for nearly 50 years.
He gives valuable tips for food safety, what foods to avoid, and what the end of the description said as "the most dangerous food in the world."

I would recommend listening to this podcast either on an empty stomach or when you are sleeping--this way, you won't have to hear your stomach growl.

Valentine's Day had a ton of podcasts on the Amy & T.J. feed--but if you were following since the start of the month, they interviewed many famous couples about their love life and other topics that build lots of drama (especially with those copycat reality shows).

But today's show was mostly about Amy and T.J. as they got to answer some of the questions that they asked people ranging from Trista and Ryan Sutter (from the first season of The Bachelorette) to Jennie Garth of Beverly Hills 90210 fame and Dave Abrams.

They spent the first 30 minutes basically summarizing the key themes each of the nine episodes that came up quite frequently during their discussions.

But the final 20 minutes are a few of the things we have been dying to know over the last two plus years since their firing from ABC News.

All I can say is, T.J. had to pause several times before giving his answer--but Amy at least explained lots of things.
So not to give it away, give that podcast and the other nine hour long episodes of their "Love Stories" series a spin:

If anyone did not read what happened last Wednesday, nearly 200 behind the scenes people at ABC News--from production, behind the scenes staffers, even the 15 member team that did awesome work on the political website 538 are gone (even though their election polling will continue.)

GMA and GMA3 will be merged under one production team, while the nighttime programs 20/20 and Nightline will be merged with a similar production unit.

Many of the people who lost their jobs worked at GMA3, with most of them were around when the show started when COVID-19 started five years ago this week titled Pandemic: What You Need To Know. Amy and later T.J. when he came aboard in fall 2020, along with Dr. Jennifer Ashton made it work--during a time Americans needed honest, credible information on how to be proactive and more importantly, to lessen the chances of getting very sick or worse.

Compared to the powerhouse GMA morning show, they had different people on staff. Separate floors in the same building, but as Amy explained in the podcast--they could never do the show live (even though the only times you would see the Previously Recorded banner is during holidays.) All because of money.

But once that love affair started in November 2022 and eventually spilled into that one lovey-dovey segment, that's when I knew it was over. When Dr. Jen decided to leave on her own in late June 2024, what is the point? T.J. hasn't watched the show since being fired, and I barely catch it since I get so busy doing other things online.

It's all about reality shows and live sports. That's it.

Anytime there are layoffs, especially at the Big Four TV networks, it is very sad.
Bottom line, people are not watching linear TV that much anymore. Podcasts, streaming, and to a certain degree YouTube is how we get our news.

Look at what happened to newspapers, where they had trusted and sometimes Pulitzer Prize winning reporters. The days of thick Sunday newspapers ended by the mid 2010's, which gave way to trimmed articles from the AP wire services pretending and junior staffers leads the newsrooms. If it hasn't started already, I'm afraid it's going to happen with TV.

Expect DeMarco Morgan and Eva Pilgrim possibly being shuffled with up-and-coming anchors/reporters, in both the short and long term.

The podcast is worth listening to, and there are some links that shed more light on this shocking series of developments:

https://nypost.com/2025/03/06/media/abc-news-entirely-gutted-gma3-fired-executive-producer-as-part-of-layoffs/

https://pagesix.com/2025/03/05/entertainment/former-abc-news-staffers-find-home-at-cbs-amid-disney-layoffs-and-turmoil-at-network/

Amy got emotional at times during the podcast that was released late Sunday night. For the first time, they gave us plenty of insight on how the show was put together, how it all evolved since the lifestyle/entertainment Sarah, Strahan, and Keke did not gain too much traction in the late 2010's, with struggled in the ratings--mostly losing to the powerful CBS weekday lineup. And wait until you hear how they felt the show when the show really clicked--quite fascinating details on another dark period in the television news industry:

Besides the usual "Morning Run" shows, which added weekend morning editions on April 26 plus the usual dating episodes--it was only a matter of time before "Ask Amy and T.J." have their own separate pods giving off "experienced" answers to fans' questions about relationships.
As the description said, they are no experts by any means. It's a short pod, so give it a listen when you get some time:

While we have to sift through the endless Aubrey O'Day commentary about every salacious detail in the Diddy trial, the early morning podcast hosts continue being lovebirds away from the microphones.

To nobody's surprise, T.J. and Amy were spotted at an event in New York recently and T.J. was getting way too close to touching Amy's dress :o .

The New York Post Page Six had a feature article on this rather touchy subject.

I briefly apologize if this subject might be uncomfortable for some people:

On June 9, they began penning a new column on Yahoo! Life about sex and relationships.

It is a weekly column, extending a bit from their expanding podcasts separate from their usual "Morning Run" episodes.
And the best part, we get to ask them questions :D.

No, this is not another link to their weekly dating column.

Rather, it's a brief podcast talking about them getting away "from the weekday stress from headlines and life."

When you listen to what Amy and TJ did separately and together, it should tie in a bit on why they became true lovebirds after they taped GMA3 from Times Square.

https://open.spotify.com/episode/74GrHfy0EMvFpNifV2NVsu?si=e6e47f71956c4e49

And I bet by the time they passed through the program's new home at Hudson Square, they must have thought or yelled out like I used to do to outside of places I hated seeing as a child and eventually met their ultimate demise (whether it was under new ownership or the building was torn down and turned into a parking lot.)

"Suckers!" :Tounge

Well, let’s see, they both had million-dollar salaries when they were at ABC, now no TV network will touch them and they’re hosting a podcast that nobody listens to.

https://podcastcharts.byspotify.com/

You don’t think they wish they were back there?
Who is the “sucker”?

I was only guessing, but the scenery outside Hudson Square is wow. Words alone cannot the area surrounding the Robert Iger Building.

It's like night and day, compared to the hectic atmosphere that is Times Square.
