The face of women's college and WNBA coverage on ESPN and the 6 p.m. SportsCenter since 2020 is heading West:

The hiring of Elle Duncan is a seismic shift in how the biggest streaming platform on the planet is taking sports seriously--even though many don't consider them a major player in terms of acquiring season long packages like Paramount, Peacock, and Apple TV has done since 2022.

It will be interesting to see what happens going forward.

Who'll be the replacement for Elle Duncan on 6pm SportsCenter?

It'll be similar to First Take when Molly Qerim left the show and the network earlier this year.

It'll be interesting to see someone around ESPN inside and outside of the network like NFL Network, MLB Network, CBS just to name a few.

Great points. If I had to guess, they might stay in-house or maybe try to lure someone from the outside.

This news definitely came out of left field, considering Elle was the popular host of both women's college basketball and the WNBA. Malika Andrews has a full plate, but hopefully that will change considering that she is married and lives in the land of endless entertainment, as the only show that ESPN has remaining in Los Angeles.
