Some small developments from Friday night:

A possible vehicle of interest is being searched, but the general search inside the home I believe has been called off.

Pima County officials continue to say that Nancy is "still alive."

The first true heartwarming story out of 30 Rock was that Hoda Kotb briefly came out of retirement to co-host alongside Craig Melvin. If anyone gets time, look for the TODAY page on YouTube and search Friday's show, and you can see how tight knit they are as a family.

Also, former NBC co-workers T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach (where she mostly worked weekends) chimed in from Radio Row in San Francisco with some brief words on their podcast:

A dark, yet cryptic message from Savannah on Saturday night.

The clip lasted 22 seconds:

“We received your message, and we understand. We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace. This is very valuable to us, and we will pay.”

This significant twist tells us that they understand something about their mother than we as the public don't know. Will this lead to proof of life?

Keep in mind that this way of communicating with the abductors (presumably on social media), but it seems that they are verifying and authenticating this message.
Nancy Guthrie is being held for ransom, and who knows what turn it will take next?
In the case of all three videos, they had to be OK'd by the FBI. There was no way that they would have posted these videos without prior consent, largely for legal purposes.

That is the latest we know, with the one vehicle being targeted that was at a Circle K gas station in the area of Tucson, Arizona.

Savannah appearing solo with the fourth message again on her Instagram with a desperate cry for help:

"We are at an hour of desperation. We need your help."

She also mentioned for the first time that if anyone in this country sees anything suspicious, to contact your local law enforcement.

Very significant information, as the first set of images (albeit are black & white) have been released by the FBI Tuesday morning regarding the abduction of Savannah's mom, Nancy Guthrie:

It took 10 days to release images from her doorbell camera? That's a little strange.

The FBI and extensive forensic analysis, neighborhood canvassing, and review of surveillance footage was huge in this effort.

It is very chilling, even with the guy carrying this out in a premeditated fashion.

Also of note, one person of interest was detained by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, with assistance of the FBI for questioning. The suspect is located south of Tucson, has not yet been charged.
Whether or not it is the same man we see in those images and videos is not exactly clear. Until we know more, this is a major development and hopefully someone will come forward with the information authorities need:

Around 8 p.m. or so Mountain time, authorities found a person who is in custody and being questioned.

Fox 10 in Phoenix reported two hours later that during a traffic stop near Rio Rico, a small town near the Mexico barrier was where the person being detained occurred just hours after SWAT vehicles were seen leaving the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

The person being questioned is not related to Nancy Guthrie.
Keep in mind, sometimes the FBI holds some information back--for reasons the public may not fully understand.
But the family it was best to release this so we can see what really happened.

Hope my super online search skills are helping, but let's those other individuals come forward with the identity of the man in those chilling video and images.

The actions of the suspect in terms of what he was trying to do with the door camera seem a bit odd. I've heard commentary from "experts" questioning this individual's cognitive abilities after seeing how he thought covering the camera with brush was such a good idea.

Major activity outside the Guthrie house on Thursday:

A white tent was put up over her front door by the FBI. One agent was seen carrying a height chart, of which they figured that man measured around 5'9"-5'10".

The New York Post also found two black gloves on the side of a road, of which were sent to a forensic lab for DNA testing.
Also of note, all residents that live within two miles were asked to show any footage from January 1 to February 2. One resident told ABC News that they didn't notice anything strange or unusual.

Finally, the FBI doubled the reward for the arrest and/or leading to the captor to $100,000.
After over 1,000 tips to the FBI's toll free number, what will this lead to in the end?

As Savannah showed off some home movies from her time growing up, she said:

"our lovely mom.
we will never give up on her.
thank you for your prayers and hope."

She’s been nearly two weeks without her meds. I doubt she’s alive

We'd all hate to believe that she is indeed deceased, but at this point it's almost a certainty.

This entire ordeal has been nothing but strange. It begs the question, "What was the motive in all of this?"

Nobody knows as far as a motive goes.

In case you didn't follow the news late Friday night into early Saturday morning, there were plenty of developments:

Another note was sent to TMZ and around 1 to 2 a.m. Mountain Time, police activity within two miles of Guthrie's home. The local FOX affiliate and Fox News Digital mentioned on their news that sources told their newsroom that three people have been detained, but nothing official came out of that.

Remember when that DoorDash guy was detained earlier this week, don't be surprised if we hear more detainments in the days and maybe weeks ahead.

Bottom line, no one has been arrested and they didn't find the guy measuring 5'9", 5"10" with average build and holding a backpack that is exclusively sold in Wal-Mart.

The FBI has received 13,000 tips from their toll-free line. The local Pima County Sheriff's Department has received 18,000 tips. The latest statement mentioned from the Sheriff's office basically that law enforcement activitiy is underway at a residence. It is a joint investigation at the request of the FBI. No other information will be made available until more credible evidence is found.

Harvey Levin still remains laser focus on the ransom notes that he received. And there is even a third one claiming to know who the kidnapper is, but they want the money first. They changed their mind on how much money they want and how they want to be paid (mostly in bitcoin.)

You can understand how much frustration that Savannah and her family have been going through during this uncertain and scary period of time.
It is okay to ask these questions:

- Why are they doing this?
- Why are you playing this game and keeping the family in pain unless maybe this person is not o the up and up either (whatever that means)?
- Or is this person a total clown just wanting to get some extra money?

The emails were sent to the police and TMZ was asked not to disclose some of the details. In one, Harvey Levin basically said, the details are "being chilling."

He was on with Erin Burnett from CNN on Friday talking about how we are at this point, of which Amy and T.J. both said on their podcast that this is the strangest case they have seen in over three decades in covering crimes.

Slightly related to all of this news from the last two weeks, Liz Claman of Fox Business did an interview with Ring Founder Jamie Siminoff on how he was so determined to help families avoid getting burglarized or worse.

After being rejected on ABC's Shark Tank, who knew that this game changing garage and front door accessory has helped police capture footage of violent criminals, reunite kidnapped children from their families, and believe it or not--capturing footage of bears opening up car doors.

A small note--the interview was recorded on January 27, four plus days before the abduction of Nancy Guthrie. Sadly, Liz did not mention about the kidnapping prior to or after her Everyone Talks To Liz podcast.

Still it was an interesting interview where his story is really hard to believe at first listen.

The sheriff has said some stuff and then had to walk what he said back or clarify his prior words. Wish they had someone better as their sheriff over there.

After reading a Friday New York Times article with the Pima County sheriff, he basically said the investigation to find Nancy Guthrie "could take weeks, months, or even years."

As one can only imagine, Savannah is a "mess" and is strongly considering leaving as anchor of the TODAY show:

Meanwhile, some gloves were found near the crime scene. A forensic lab is examining to see if these were the same gloves worn by the suspect.

I hate talking like this, but this entire ordeal probably would have been avoided if The Guthrie Family would have just given in to this kidnappers' demands. Now I'm not blaming them for trying to reason with this individual first. But maybe, just maybe if they'd played more into sending this individual the million dollars in bitcoin, or whatever the original ransom was, and then trying to lure him out of hiding earlier on, then maybe Mrs. Guthrie could have had a better chance of being found alive. Now you can go all into the conspiracy of the F.B.I and the Sheriff's Department butting heads all you want. That may have a part in the delay toward the investigation. There just seems to be something wrong with the way this entire mess has been handled.

Her latest video from Sunday felt like a desperation prayer for the kidnapper(s) in saying:

Conspiracy theories or not, this is what we know entering the third week of this exhausting and difficult time for Savannah and her family:

There was a pair of gloves that were found two miles away from her own, but was traced for DNA, and we don't know if it was from the subject from last week's Nest camera footage.

Shortly thereafter, the New York Post published that The President I Refuse To Name sent a very direct warning to the kidnapper (not worthy to share in this space.)

What I can mention for part of the delay this past week was that Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos suffered a personal tragedy, when his brother died in hospice the day after Nancy was kidnapped--according to the Daily Mail. He was also seen watching a college basketball game, mostly to give his mind a little break away from the hordes of national and international media descending on this rugged terrain and the general fact that homes in Tucson are not bunched together--plus the front doors are generally around 30 miles away from the street.

If we know more, we will check online again for further developments. No suspects or persons of interest have been reported.
