Tonight i tried capping from a dvd i made, when i hit the capture button Powerdvd says capture on the screen, the bmp icon is there but when i click to view the cap no picture is there. So i tried making caps in VLC and no caps are visible just the pic icon, the same with bsplayer.

I even tried capturing in jpeg and still nothing. The video plays fine, hardware acceleration is turned off. Is this a software or video card problem?

Might be a picture software problem. What are you using to view the pics? Or is it just in the folder you don't see thumbs?

I'm using Image Preview to view the caps. A few mimutes ago i got a few caps to work but now nothing again. About 5 caps and now nothing.

No adjustments were made to my computer software. And everything was working fine a few days ago.

Correction: Paint opens my Bitmap files.

OK, i switched to IE to open my bitmap files and it seems to be working now.

The problem returns. Made 100 or so caps fine, clicked on thumbnail and nothing. The BMP image size is only 14 bytes.

I also ran a virus scan and my computer had 2 trojans in it. I removed them. Do you think a the viruses screwed something up??

14MB is strange. Try uploading a pic to imageshack and see if it works. Also check your PM because I sent a you link for ACDSee. Try opening the pics with that, and see if you get the same problem.

Thanks for the link donkeed, i'll give it a try. The odd thing is when i restart my computer it will work for awhile. I'm posting some of those caps now.
