Katie Holmes 1/15 - Letterman - 1080i

The avi's of this will probably be posted for those who don't have RS accounts, dial-up, and hard drive space conscious. I wanted to try something different so I split each part to play individually, but you can use VideoRedoPlus or other lossless mpeg editors to join them up. The free version of VRP should let you output 10 minutes per project. This clip is 10:12 | mpeg-2 | 1.17GB total split into roughly 100MB (except the last) parts that will play individually.

I'm guessing that most people are only going to download the 1st 2 parts or so.

Wonder how many downloads the last few are going to get.

Really, you could download the parts and convert an avi out of it. There's a to of info in tech support forum.

I'll post an avi if anyone doesn't. Just hate sitting around waiting to encode just like you hate sitting around waiting for downloads and rapidshare limits.

Sorry about that. It's just that Winnter's versions of his talk show videos don't take forever to download and I prefer those.

But even though the late night hosts are back at work, he has been cutting back on doing those videos because...well...Leno's and Conan's guests are booked on the fly during the strike compared to Letterman's and Ferguson's.

1 question though,do i need a specific codec to play this?

the video/audio does play in media player classic,but it stutters constantly,Im probably missing a codec.
can anyoine help please?

i never usually bother with HD,as im still using a 22" CRT lol
But katie has to be worth the download!

The HD is mpeg-2 video, but it's 1920x1080 and about 16Mbps bitrate. The audio is AC3. The avi is 3.5Mbps DivX video and 128Kbps mp3 audio. Neither of them should stutter. I would check to see how much processor it's using when your playing it using task manager if you have XP.

Ive just realised why it was doing it,i was encoding a dvd at the time,just tried the video again and its flawless

VLC Media Player and Cyberlink's PowerDVD tend to be better for playing HD vids than Media Player Classic.
