It seems if you have a dsl modem it still is a static address just like a regular dialup modem. I have read that unplugging it changes your ip address so I tried it and it worked but what I wanna know is if you keep unplugging the modem will it cause it to screw up and if so is there a way you can change your static ip address to a dynamic one then??
