If you mean the console color TV/B&W video camera combo, THAT was high-tech for 1973 (which I think the episode was from)!!

That was a Teledyne Packard Bell TV with "Cartrivision", a very early home video system that offered recording from TV or camera, and offered pre-recorded tapes. It never became popular and the Cartrivision company folded in 1974 (I worked for Teledyne Service in the seventies).

Well, LMAD offered some very "high-tech" stuff in the '70s, including early telephone answering machines, video game consoles (the Sears Tele-Games set which included "Pong"), and home security systems. I think the VCRs/video cameras came in the 1984-86 version.
