 Post subject: media player classic

I downloaded mpc and want to use it to watch vids but it is not listed as an option under open with... and everything goes right to windows media player. Please help

What i do is drag and drop the file on the player :Kool

There should be an option to choose program:
Image

Click that, and you'll get a list of programs to choose. If MPC isn't on there, click "Browse," and locate where you save the MPC.exe file.

I have VLC set as default to play all those crap mpegs from WINTV that WMP won't play till i edit them with Videoredo TV Suite :Kool

PowerDVD is the only program that'll play the WINTV crap MPGs for me. I have to do the HJ-Split trick before opening it in VideoRedo even :shock: :evil:

I used to fix them with Nanopeg before editing with the old Videoredo
but now that i have Videoredo TV suite i save time because it fixes them in one step :Kool

Videoredo won't open the worst recordings. Even quick stream fix crashes with some files. HJSplitting into small parts and removing the parts that register as different resolutions (usually the beginning) works with mpeg-2.

I think you might be able to removed headers with AVI Synth, but I've never really tried it. With so much easy software, working with vids scripts is really a last resort.
