Search for date created files on Vista

I connected a Dell printer but the driver did not install
then i found out that this old printer is not Vista compatible
so i did a google search for it and next thing i was missing 600 mb
But when i do files created on the pc it only shows 15 mb was created today and i deleted the temp files

Is there a better way to search if there is some temp file created?

When you search, do you have it look for "hidden" files as well?

When i search i put a check mark to look for non indexed,Hidden and System files in all locations

When i do this in Win 98 i always find everything but in Vista i don't know what's going on
