No, I don't have inside info or anything.
I just noticed that on Wednesday and Thursday, at the top of the noon, 2:00 and 3:00 news, the anchors stopped saying things like "I'm Sandra Mitchell in for Mia Lee" or "Mia is off today". So I got curious and started googling around, and found what everyone has probably seen by now:

I don't like to spread rumors especially from message boards, but I understand that things are heavily scripted on these news broadcasts. Couldn't believe Dave and Sandra would "forget" six times. They didn't mention her again yesterday (Friday). They did mention her on Tuesday (after Labor Day) so maybe they expected her back up until Wednesday afternoon or before. Maybe it's just a glich and she'll be back on Monday like nothing happened.

Don't know if I like NewsCentral from a newsbabe-fan perspective. All that agressive "lower-third" action really covers up the good stuff sometimes. Oh well.
