 Post subject: PDVD wont play avi

I use PowerDVD for playing vids and capping them.
Many vids are uploaded in avi but PDVD wont play this type file.
Can I convert them to mpeg??
Please help.....thanks!

Odd I had power dvd at one time. I thought it supported DVD, DVD-VR, DVD+VR, H264/AVC, MPEG2, MPEG1, SVCD, VCD and AVI/DivX/XviD. Have you updated the player or anything different?

Why don't you just use a different player for avi's?

Nope, havent done anything with it. If I go to the file and right click, PDVD is not an option to use. Is there a way to open the file direct from PDVD?

You know what guys, I had uploaded a zip and needed to extract the file first. Would take it out of the zip.....sorry and thanks for the responses!!
