Hi brand new here love this place but need some help, Anybody know if you can hook up a cablebox dvr to your computer to cap scenes. I'm in awe of the cappers here and want to contribute right now am using a digital cam to get pics off hd tv ok but not great I'll post some if you guys want but they don't stand up to the hd caps some cappers do.

I've been able to record channel from an STB through firewire connection, and I think it's possible with a DVR. Check the several posts in this forum about firewire capping, and see if you can find any useful info.
