NBC Uni posted a video interview with Peacock Productions executive Sharon Scott about the company's intentions for the network, which include reducing the amount of live weather coverage. Scott points out we have iPads now, so this whole covering weather on TV is just getting silly (try telling that to NBC's local news stations).

I just new the person in charge was a women. Most of the on air personalities are men. (check out weatherchannel.com and look at the on air personalities). This is no surprise to me, she is just stupid. And yes it sucks.

Any time that NBC gets there hands on a cable channel, they screw it up.

All I want is my Weather on the 8's and if there is breaking weather--it has to be LIVE. No more of these "Storm Stories" and "When Weather Changed History" programs. .

About the only thing remaining will for it to morph into the Reality TV News Network, with shows hosted by some D list tween talking about Big Brother's Cousin 40 or something equally lame. In other words, they'll manage to find some programming we care even less about than they already have. Which is really saying something.

Or about anything else. Heard the acquired Comcast, wow, a chance to ruin a whole provider.

the ipad is the dumbest excuse i've ever heard not everyone has an ipad, so why is that relevant reason to take away the already limited cap views, or as a weather person myself, the limited amount of live reports...oh yeah i don't plan on buying an ipad anytime soon

1. Not everyone has a Ipad or related device I don't.
2. Even if a person does, can they be hard to see and they change sets because of that.
It's called the WEATHER CHANNEL for a reason. HOW ABOUT STOP THE CHANGES and OH YEAH CHANGE TO THE BIG SCREEN SETS.

NBC must be code for Stupid. Just think about what they've destroyed.
First, and maybe most importantly they get rid of Sharon Resultan.
Then all the bars on the screen so you can't see anything.

Remember when TWC had weather? When the History Channel had history? When the Travel Channel had travel? TVLAND had TV?
These are all examples of the TV corporate "mind" and it's attempt to re-make low rated, niche channels into all things to all people so that ratings maximization can be achieved on a channel like TWC.
I turn on TWC to see if I need to pack a raincoat for that trip to Denver or if the kids will have a snow day. It adds appeal that pretty women are disseminating the information. What I don't want to see when I turn on TWC is some pompous bald headed hack championing his piteous ego or some toothless octogenarian "rememering" the flood of '49, complete with ominous music and Hollywood quick-cuts.

I don't even watch TWC anymore...there's a myriad of reasons and I'm sure we'd all agree. and as far as SyFy? They just suck...canceling Caprica was the atypical mistake...yet they keep easting their money on the SyFy Original Movies; which are a train wreck on every single one of them. Noticing that every board room out there needs to stay out of the programming room...
