Hotfile has started banning stuff that is considered to be copyrighted and member's accounts have been suspended because they have gotten sued. Say bye to Hotfile unless they can pull off a Rapidshare recovery.

I would prefer we just not use any site that has Captcha. I mean it's okay when you can read it perfectly. But if you can't and then you have to refresh it, that is just childish.

I often have to refresh the captcha several times to find one that's readable on Hotfile.

The RS migration started once they suspended their rewards program. Once word got out that HF pays straight cash, homey... well, you do the math.

Megaupload and Mediafire seem to be the best for free users, but some people experience sluggishness or virus alerts with one or the other. Truth is, there never will be one solid file host provider that (for free) will please everyone. And if one does come along, greed eventually comes knocking.

Personally, I bit the bullet and paid for six months of HF service (well, seven, with a bonus month offered during the holidays). I still pay for RS largely to host my Robin archives. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and dip into the expendable income to get what you want.

I got a MegaUpload premium. I really like them. No muss, no fuss and they don't change the rates in the middle of the stream.

You pay a certain amount for a certain time period and can extend it at anytime you wish for as long as you wish and its done.

Plain and simple. Only problem is its in euros instead of dollars so you have to figure out the exchange rate but thats it!
