I know that I shouldn't be apologizing for taking care of real life issues, but I thank you for your patience. My father suffered a stroke a few weeks ago, and he passed away in late February. This has obviously turned our home life upside down, and I have had to take many more responsibilities in the household. Having said that, those new tasks may prevent me from capping Robin regularly for the time being, and I won't be able to cap tomorrow. However, capping her today and seeing her beautiful face -- even while drenched in black -- feels very comforting, and is a small step towards life going back to normal for me.

It's good to be back.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Speaking as someone who lost his father and grandfather within three days, I know nothing anyone can say will make this period easier to deal with; the only thing that helps is ... time. Returning to normal activities is a step in that direction. Our thoughts are with you and your family.

With that said, thank you for capping Robin again; I for one have missed your contributions.

As you take on new responsibilities and go through an
inevitable period of adjustment and loss, please be sure
to take some time out for yourself. It's important for your
well-being and it allows you to be better at the responsibilities
you now have.

Its all been said and no words can take the place of a loved one but have the feeling you are a strong person and will do fine. You will always have the good memories. Do what you can here when you want. :Thumb

I'm deeply sorry for your loss, my friend. I almost lost MY father last year. Now he's doing much better. It would take one illness of a loved one to put your life into perspective.
