For this past weekend I have not been able to get my DirecTV DVR and Sony Blu-Ray player to connect to the Internet. Last Friday night my modem locked up while surfing (lights on but not blinking) and tried the ISP self-diagnostic tool but didn't work but rebooting the modem did. Internet runs fine now and also I can connect wirelessly with my second computer but I cannot connect to the DVR and Blu-Ray player through the powerline network. I have ruled out the ISP since they did not provide the router and I have ruled out DirecTV since I have rebooted the DVR every way possible. Evidently it is the router but I don't like the way Belkin has their online customer service set up since it doesn't seem to address my problem.

Such a shame it had to happen on the day that Liz Claman wore probably her shortest skirt, EVER! :Bang :Doh :Doh

But I am sure, like most electronic equipment these days--you should be back up and running the next time either Lori or Liz do their famous sit-down interviews :Tounge . Just a thought.

Did you try to turn off the router for about 1 minute then turn it back on?

Did anything changed on the devices? First thing I would do is reboot the devices your are trying to connect. I would also check the settings (passwords, etc.) on the devices you are trying to connect, and check the router utility to see if the devices are even recognized. Lastly see if there's anything wrong with the network adapters. Sometimes just unplugging the replugging the adapter works.

It was the powerline adapter in the computer room. Thanks for all advice. I have Uma, PAB, and Judge Jeanine trapped on my DVR. I did today's caps with the HD-PVR connected to the non-DVR reciever and recorded Liz' show and Patti Ann on Beck (or should I say Eric Bolling, who's filling in while Glenn is in Israel).
