I bought a Tv tuner which came with Total Media:

When I edit the videos, the cutted scenes turn to red in the bar below, but still occupies space, as the file remains the same length (and it is possible to recover these scenes). This means I'm only able to hide scenes, not to cut them.

How can I discard these cuts, so the file gest reduced?

Is there an export/output option? Video editors usually don't edit the original file. You should be exporting a new edited file and delete the original recording.
