Chris's facebook page has a comment about her moving to Colorado.

The problem with that theory- no one is more hated by the bulletin board crowd at HSN than Shannon Smith, and there is no one even a close second. But Shannon is STILL there. Since Alicia worked almost exclusively overnight she was unknown to most.

I think she was planning an exit- the new website has been up for a few months now, complete with a host demo reel, and some really hot pics in the gallery. and from the tweet she shot off to Chelsea Scott ( "I discovered the fountain of youth....sleep") http://twitter.com/#!/aliciaperezhsn maybe she needed to get off overnights and try to have a normal life. Anybody who's worked graveyard shifts knows that after awhile you get out of sync with humanity.

I hate to see her go, but some of the clues point to her deciding to leave voluntarily.

As for Chris Scanlon.....after 20 years and no recognition of her leaving by HSN is puzzling. No on air mention at all. But then again, maybe that was something she wanted.

From Facebook: Lois Neal - yes i truly agree, as HSN has lost a great - host,for sure...but i'm very happy for CHRIS an her family, if this is truly what she wanted..as now her family will be together,an everyone that knew CHRIS, knew her family was her first priotery...wishing them the very best

What a Bummer I loved watching Chris and now she is gone get rid of Bill Green or Adam Freeman two of the most boring host on there and they hog all the shows i remember all the computer shows Chris was sitting down showing off her hot legs :cry:

Chris looked aweful and she should have been talked to Colleen as she lost weight, then workout with Callie at the gym. Chris was a non exercise person and in Florida that is a no go

Even though Chris's shoeplay declined over the years, ( I'm kinda mad I missed the earlier parts, and came in the top of the 2000's just enough to see something.) It's a shame not to see her on HSN. Lately I'd try to hang around to see a little bit, even if doubtful.

10 years ago Chris was hot. I remember her sitting on a stool wearing a black dress, black stockings and heel pumps. She had so many leg crosses it was wild. It use to be posted under albums, but probably deleted. I also saw some around 2002 as well on photo albums of her and she was hot. The thing is as you age, you must workout and watch what you eat. Some women can do it and others cannot

The air time for Chris had been getting less and less over the last year, and she did mention on air a number of times about either going to, or just getting back from Colorado, so it's probably true in that respect. However, if it were her decision to walk away on her own I would think HSN would have given her some type of send off.

I agree. The parting had to be on bad terms, otherwise they would have said something on the air for Chris! She had worked at HSN for ages!

What I think really happened is that Chris' contract was not up and they (HSN and Chris) could not settle on an amicable agreement for her departure to Colorado OR her contract was up and HSN would not renew it at the price Chris was looking for. I think Chris' departure boiled down to money. Just my thoughts. :Kool

I think Alicia's original contract was just not renewed since she wasn't there long enough. :Kool

I was just on HSN and could find nothing about Chris Scanlon; not in HOSTS, not in BLOGS,

I believe she moved to Colorado and has not been on HSN for at least 2 months.
