:jetserl Reminds me of that time when these hairy guys tried to get jobs as HOOTERS "waitresses", were denied, and sued the chain for discrimination! :jetserl :jetserl

A Kansas City station let go of a guy a few years ago to bring back the woman who had fled to Denver. When she was originally in KC she was young and out of college, but when she returned after a 6 year absence, she was older and gained weight. Still the woman took over the shift. The guy could not find work so he started working a different job. But now sometimes he fills-in at the old station. I still don't get why the woman left to Denver, why she came back, why the other guy was let go for her, and why she gained weight. But what I do know is they have another woman who came on board when this lady had left to Denver. So now they have 4 people doing the weather on staff and this fifth guy comes in every blue moon to fill in.

Sorry, Kyle- you LOSE that lawsuit.

I'm pretty sure all of us here would have made the same two hiring decisions. :D

The fact that he is represented by Shyster Gloria Allred will make CBS's victory even sweeter.

considers to be a trend in television news to hire young women as weather broadcasters in prime time

He's just realizing this now? How dumb must he be?

Maybe he should apply at a station in the Lincoln-Kearney-Hastings market since all but a couple of weekend weatherpeople are men. One guy has been at his station almost 30 years, and another died within months of his retirement after working 30 years with that station.
