Michelle Beadle to NBC

Ultimately, no package ESPN/ABC could come up with was enough. Early next week, Beadle is expected to make it official – she’s going to NBC and joining the entertainment TV show Access Hollywood.
All the chatter about her ancillary duties – features for the Today Show, Olympic duty, appearances on the NBC Sports Network (a show, perhaps?) – is still being ironed out.

That sucks, she was so sexy on sportsnation, and made Colin watchable.

Access Hollywood is a pretty good gig

In the sports world Beadle is attractive, but in the Hollywood world she's really nothing special. Her personality will help her though.

Just saw Sports Nation last night and was thinking about her career and how Michelle Beadle got big just from working along side Colin Cowherd. Then I was recalling the weekend show on ABC she had for two years and was upset it was no longer on, but it lead to me thinking about the ABC sports coverage.

This is somewhat shocking that she is leaving to ESPN. Wonder if Sports Nation will go on or who will replace. But also on the heels of ESPN stealing talent like Charissa Thompson, this is NBC's attempt to compete. What is really shocking is her to Access Hollywood. I expect Beadle to ditch AH for NBC Sports. The last ESPN personality to head to a entertainment show did not work out. Thea Andrews on ET. But actually her Cold Pizza co-host, Kit Hoover, is on a show very few people get outside big markets called Access Hollywood Live which is nothing like the regular AH broadcast.

In the News world she is a dime a dozen. But Her ESPN show had a loyal following and it was sports related. What set her apart is she was "one of the guys" in personality. One of those types. She cleaned up nice but was also anti-feminine, so to speak. She was part of a wave that includes Danica Patrick, Nicole Briscoe, Alex Flanagan, Maria Sharapova, Gina Carano, Amanda Beared, Shawn Johnson, Paula Creamer, The USA women's soccer team and others who are attractive but not girly girls. They are attracted by manly things and very athletic.

Kit's actually been getting featured more often lately crossing over to the regular "Access Hollywood" -
so much that she almost seems like a 3rd host on some nights, and some have speculated that Shaun Robinson
isn't too thrilled with it.

I saw Kevin doing a Fox Sports show during college football season. I had no idea he was connected to ESPN. I first saw him on Entertainment Tonight.

USA Today reported that they are still in talks with Michelle over jumping to the NBC Sports Network/AH/doing some Olympics coverage. No done deal yet:

He started on FSN and then moved to ESPN for a year before starting on ET. In his sports days, he always refused to say Anna Kournikova's name on air because she never won a tournament, he'd always refer to her as "Miss Thang" or something similar. Anyone know if he still adheres to that rule? Being she's not in the news much anymore, I can't imagine it comes up very often.
