I know this doesn't exactly fit the theme of the website, but I thought it was a big story as far as cable news goes.

What's the consensus - is Ratigan leaving a win, loss or push for the network?

His ratings were never that good. So it could be for the best for MSNBC pending on who they put in to fill his spot. But he was always his own man. But it looks like he's leaving on his own. Another MSNBC guy walking out on the network.

Yeah, he's definitely leaving on his own accord just as when he bailed on CNBC.

To me, Ratigan had an important message to convey but it became beating a dead horse. What's more, he would do a real important topic (massacres in Syria) with his panel and then have a odd segue to NYC limiting the size of sodas you could buy. I always thought that it would have been a more compelling show if he picked a topic and ran with it for the whole hour.....all the other shows beat the political news to death anyway.

It should be interesting to see what replaces his show. For too long now I have been hoping that they'd get rid of the replay of Hardball.....here's to hoping they come up with some original programming and not an hour dedicated to the hot political news of the day.

Never even heard of him so it's probably a win.

He had iusse's with the network in the past. His interview with Andrew Bretbart. Dylan use kid glove doing that interview. Bretbart was on Red Eye and made a comment about it. Saying how NBC was mad at Dylan for not beating him up so they tryed to get Martin Basher to do it the next day. this is something I heard online don't know if this is true or not. When Dlyan was starting out with his morning show, MSNBC wanted Courtney Hazlett to do the Entertament segments. Dylan said no and started useing Torue insted. There was some iusse with that in the begnning. Also he was one of Cenk backers backstage. And might have taken iusse with how Cenk was given the shaft for Al Sharpton. He did promote his book on current. I can see him being fired for bad ratings. But in the same breath I could also see him walking out.

Not a fan of MSNBC but I liked Dylan. I thought he did a nice job.

I think he used to work for CNBC? He will probably pop up on one of the business networks again.
