Thank you. I really enjoy laughing at NBC's continued failures. :jetserl

wow the games are not even helping NBC. I saw the rating for the five monday. and the Five still beat MSNBC with the games. That show's how bad they have gotten.

Savannah is doing just fine. So will Hoda. The NBC screw up is keeping Lauer there. :blah

And you're basing that on....what, exactly?

You have to admit, Matt Lauer is one of the common denominators where the ratings are concerned.

They started having problems before Ann left -- Matt was there.
They're still having problems now that Savannah has taken over -- Matt is still there.

Sure, it could have a lot to do with the format of the show, but if you were NBC,
wouldn't you be wondering now if maybe he could be part of the trouble?

He was also there when the ratings were high. The Today show ratings seem to be tied to whoever the female host is. Jane Pauley, Vieira and Couric did great. Curry and Guthrie so far have not.

Sure -- but doesn't mean he's not wearing thin on viewers now. Being popular at one point isn't going
to guarantee he stays popular.

Some of the media blogs & boards show a lot of comments on his being part of the problem...about the same
amount that blame Ann or Savannah....and that's from women who used to think he was almost perfect.
Maybe they're seeing his attitude has evolved in an unbecoming way. (?)
