After only 5 shows, CNN's one week tryout series "Get To The Point" seems to have been a ratings bomb,
and will not become a regular series...

That's a shame but I knew it was coming. I think they only had 4 episodes not 5.

That was fast. I suspect John Stewart's scathing and hilarious take on the name probably sealed the deal. Hell it showed up and disappeared so fast my TV Guide never showed it at all. I think they need to relay these changes to cable providers and fix the TV Guide before trying stuff like this. I was going to try it out just because I loved the glass desk shots and some of the women on the show but guess that was too late.

As an aside with Ali Velshi leaving, is Christine Romans taking over In the Money or continuing on as money honey for Starting Point and the new morning show? Probably too early to know what the final plans are and will have to wait for sweeps later this month to find out.

Not even the leg shots under the glass table could salvage that dreck. Just awful. Now, if they could just get Carol Costello, Ashleigh Banfield, and Suzanne Malveaux out from behind their desks, they might have something.

Too bad....the hosts (i.e. Donny Deutch and that guy from ESPN) weren't good and it seemed as if they just threw them together and crossed their fingers. What's more, I may have missed it but I didn't see any advertising for the show.....I was channel surfing on Monday night and came across it.

I like that CNN is experimenting with shows and different formats.....at the least, Zucker must realize that he can't play musical show hosts and expect ratings success. But a show can't build an audience in a week so I hope he isn't so fast on the trigger with other tryouts in the future (that's not to say this show was worthy of a 6 month run.....the format is not suited for the 10pm hour and again, there was no chemistry between the hosts).
