I don't get it. It is supposed to the correspondents dinner but it has turned into the Hollywood types dinner. It would have been nice to see more pictures of our favorite news babes and less of the usual Hollywood crowd.
Agreed, it kind of sucks it turned into yet another Hollywood thing. Not like anyone can't find thousands of pictures of those chicks at events like that with no effort what so ever....
But you have to look at it this way --
The Correspondents' Association
wants it this way... this event never got even 1/3 this kind of attention 15 or 20 years ago.
It became a oneupsmanship thing between all the networks, newspapers and magazines once they started inviting athletes, then a TV star here and there, and it evolved into this after a while.
The real problem with isn't that the stars get invited, it's that most of the paparazzi that works it tend to see the newsbabes as "background noise" in favor of the female celebs. The only time they give newsbabes real attention is if they're wearing a plunging neckline, backline, or are showing tons of leg...which they only do on occasion (like Lara Logan, Norah, etc.)
otherwise, it's
" Hey, Savannah, could you scoot over a bit? You're blocking our shot of Sandra Bullock"
If it weren't for the rise of Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, you'd probably wonder if half of the news ladies were even there.
Their personal shots are what save the day now.
With that said, there's some more material out there today, so here is .....
Abby Huntsman with sister Mary Anne, SE Cupp, SE Cupp and a very pregnant Krystal Ball, Norah O'Donnell with
Gayle King & Charlie Rose, Claire Danes, Alexandra Wentworth, Rachel Sklar, another shot of Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and a going-away shot
of Nicole Kidman
